Why QR Island

Honest tools for a small business

  • Free codes never expire

A free code holds its content in the pattern itself, so there’s no subscription to lapse and nothing to switch off.

  • Private by design

Free codes are made in your browser. No sign-up, no ad trackers, and no cookies for visitors.

  • Print files, one-time price

The Island pack, your island in print sizes, an island video and your logo code’s print files, is US$6.99 once. Not a monthly plan.

  • Editable when you need it

For printed links that might change, an Editable code (US$19 a year, renewing until you cancel) lets you change where it points and see private scan counts.

  • Content for your socials

Download a screen-size picture of your island (1600 × 1200) to post, with a small corner mark, alongside the flat code for print. The Island pack adds a 12-second video.

  • Simple and straightforward

Secure checkout through Paddle, our merchant of record, with prices in US dollars, tax included, shown before you pay.

How it works

Ready for the counter in three steps

  1. Choose what it does

WhatsApp, a link, your contact card, a location, Wi‑Fi and more. Type the details in the message bar.

  2. Make it yours

Pick one of 25 worlds and your colours. Add your logo in the Style panel if you like.

  3. Print and test

Get the flat code, download PNG or SVG, and test a printed copy with a couple of phones before you stick it up.

Business FAQ

Expiry, subscriptions, logos and paying.

More answers in the full FAQ
Do free codes expire?

No. A free code holds its content in the pattern itself. As long as the thing it points to still exists (your website, WhatsApp number or Wi‑Fi), it keeps working.

Is there a subscription?

Only for Editable codes. Island packs are a one-time payment. An Editable code is a yearly subscription that renews until you cancel: we email you before each renewal, and you can cancel any time from its manage link.

Can I use my logo?

Yes. In the Style panel you can add your logo and choose dot and corner styles. Download a 1024 px styled PNG free (it carries a small QR Island credit), or buy the Island pack for the print files with no credit, your island in print sizes and an island video.

How do I pay?

In Paddle’s secure checkout, which opens over the page. Paddle.com is our merchant of record: it takes the payment, handles tax and sends your receipt. We never see or store your card number. Prices are in US dollars and include any sales tax.

How big should I print it?

It depends on what the code holds. A link to your site can print as small as 2 cm wide; a full contact card with an address needs about 5–6 cm. The size hint beside the message bar shows the smallest safe width for your code, and the free Print sheet lays it out at true sizes. For a wall, window or poster that people scan from further away, go bigger: roughly a tenth of the scanning distance works well (about 10 cm wide for 1 metre). Always test a printed proof with two different phones before printing many.
